MetroLink Cross County Extension
Saint Louis, Missouri

The Cross County extension of the MetroLink transit system will connect additional communities by adding 8-miles tot he existing rail system, which currently spans the 38-miles for Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport in Saint Louis, Missouri.

The extension includes a major reconstruction of the Forest Park station and the addition of nine new stations (two with Park-N-Ride lots). Approximately 22 new light rail vehicles will be needed to carry the additional 18,000 daily riders.

KWAME was responsible for providing estimating, scheduling, document control, cost control and invoicing services. In addition, value engineering, constructibility reviews, and the development and management of the Quality Assurance program were all part of KWAME's scope for the project.
