Children’s Hospital Expansion- BJC Medical Center
St. Louis, Missouri

The hospital is a pediatric facility which adjoins the existing Barnes-Jewish Medical Complex and is part of the Washington University Medical School. The overall project includes a vertical and horizontal expansion and construction of approximately 77,000 square feet of new construction and an 82,600 square foot renovation. Execution utilizes phased construction and systems methods

KWAME Scope:
As a project engineer subconsultant, KWAME provides all supervision, facilities, and travel necessary and incidental to complete the project engineer work as requested by the program manager, Sverdrup Facilities, Inc.. KWAME is coordinating the architectural items with the subcontractors and the owner as well as participating in supplemental instruction changes and proposal request changes. In addition, KWAME is sending out and requesting information on submittal packages and shop drawings.
