Louis International Airport East Terminal KWAME provided Construction Management services including design management, constructibility review, and estimating services. In addition, KWAME led an informal Value Engineering effort which resulted in a significant reduction in the cost of construction without changing the design program or aesthetic impact. The East Terminal project was divided into three bid packages. Package A consisted of the aircraft apron and air cargo road. The scope of Package B was the construction of the 12 aircraft gates, while Package C included the construction of a new parking garage and all required elevated roadways. The project presented a number of challenges, including a small site, limited resources, and multiple user needs. The airport wanted to maximize available retail space.
