Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport East Terminal
St. Louis, Missouri

KWAME provided Construction Management services including design management, constructibility review, and estimating services. In addition, KWAME led an informal Value Engineering effort which resulted in a significant reduction in the cost of construction without changing the design program or aesthetic impact.

The East Terminal project was divided into three bid packages. Package A consisted of the aircraft apron and air cargo road. The scope of Package B was the construction of the 12 aircraft gates, while Package C included the construction of a new parking garage and all required elevated roadways.

The project presented a number of challenges, including a small site, limited resources, and multiple user needs. The airport wanted to maximize available retail space. It was also important that the airline's brand was enhanced by the terminal and that the passenger flow was efficient.
